Description

Nutty brown butter sauce perfect for pasta, especially butternut squash ravioli

Ingredients

  • Butter: 8 tbsp

  • Garlic: 2 cloves, crushed and chopped

  • Sage leaves: 1/4 cup coarsely chopped

  • Salt: to taste
  • Black pepper: to taste

Notes

  • Can add some chopped walnuts with the sage for an even better sauce
  • For keto - serve on veggie noodles or chicken
  • For gluten-free - sub GF pasta

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a medium sauce pan over low-medium heat. When the butter begins to get just slightly bubbly, add the chopped garlic
  2. Stir the garlic for about a minute, then add the sage and continue stirring and cooking for 1-2 minutes until the butter has turned light brown and has a rich, nutty aroma
  3. Season with salt and pepper, then toss with pasta of choice and enjoy
