Description
Sichuan-style spice mixture for coating meats and veggies
Ingredients
- Sichuan peppercorns (red): 1 tbsp
- Cumin seed: 1/4 cup
- Dried Sichuan chili flakes: 2 tbsp
- Black peppercorn: 2 tbsp, whole
- Ground ginger powder: 1 tbsp
- Garlic powder: 1 tbsp
- Chili powder: 1/2 tbsp
- Sea salt: 1/2 tbsp
Notes
- This amount of cumin was a bit overwhelming - perhaps decrease
Instructions
- Toast Sichuan peppercorns until fragrant
- Toast cumin until lightly browned
- Grind Sichuan peppercorns, cumin, chili flakes, and black pepper in a spice grinder
- Stir in remaining ingredients until mixed well
- Store in an airtight container (ex. mason jar)
