Description

Meat with a texture reminiscent of Chinese takeout for fried rice and stir-fries

Ingredients

  • Cornstarch: 1 tbsp
  • Soy sauce: 1 tbsp
  • Sesame oil: 1 tbsp
  • Sliced onions and/or garlic: to taste
  • Meat: 1 lb, thinly sliced

Notes

  • Use GF soy sauce or tamari to make GF
  • Can sub vegetable oil for sesame oil
  • Add an egg white for a thicker slurry
  • Add 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine or rice vinegar for more flavor

Instructions

  1. Combine all non-meat ingredients and mix well
  2. Toss meat to coat
  3. Cover and refrigerate for 30-60 minutes, then cook in stir fry, fried rice, etc. (use a bit of oil to pan fry the sliced meat) and add to your favorite dish
