Preheat oven to 400F
Slice chicken breasts in half and pound to even thickness
Add oil to a cast iron skillet
Pat chicken dry and season with salt and pepper to taste
Add chicken to skillet and sear for a couple of minutes on each side
Combine maple syrup, soy sauce or tamari, garlic, turmeric, salt, and pepper in a small bowl
Once both sides of chicken are seared, pour maple turmeric sauce over chicken and toss to coat
Move skillet from stovetop into preheated oven and bake until chicken is cooked through (about 10 minutes)
