====== Pasta Dough 2 ====== Tags: [[pasta]] - [[vegetarian]] \\ Active Time: 15 minutes \\ Passive Time: 45 minutes \\ Serves: 6-8 \\ ====Description==== Easy pasta dough that rolls out beautifully ====Source==== [[https://www.gimmesomeoven.com/homemade-pasta/|Gimme Some Oven]] ====Ingredients==== *Eggs: 4 large, room temperature *Flour: 2.5 cups (00 is better) *Olive oil: 1 tbsp *Salt: 1 tsp ====Notes==== *I want to try adding extra egg yolks instead of all whole eggs at some point *Can also do the entire thing in the stand mixer instead - just use the dough hook and the stand mixer will do the kneading (8-10 minutes on low) ====Instructions==== -Add all ingredients to bowl of a food processor and pulse for about 10 seconds, until crumbly texture -Remove dough and form it into a ball, then place on lightly floured cutting board. Knead for 1-2 minutes until smooth and elastic (add extra water or flour as needed) -Form into a ball and wrap tightly in plastic wrap. Let rest at room temperature for 30 minutes, then use immediately or refrigerate for up to 1 day -Roll out according to instructions on your pasta roller \\ \\
